 Opportunity

As an Salesforce Data Cloud Senior IT Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing modern cloud data solutions on Salesforce Data Cloud, and the Azure Synapse platform in an agile environment. You will be instrumental in supporting migrations of existing integrations and data models to the Microsoft Azure and Salesforce Data cloud.

Responsibilities

• Assist business users with technical solutions
• Gather requirements, perform data analysis and profile data to design appropriate solutions
• Research Salesforce.com data cloud capabilities as needed to satisfy business requirements, and provide gap analysis
• Author and Maintain System Configuration Documentation.
• Work with the latest AI technologies to simplify the development process.
• Be a thought leader in how to best leverage Salesforce data cloud capabilities to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness using improved features/functionality or process improvement;
• Develop data models and segments for data of interest to be pulled into the University Data Hub and Salesforce Data Cloud.
• Improve data usability, reliability, efficiency, security, and quality in adherence with industry best practices (e.g., change data capture, data quality monitoring, user access provisioning) and platform governance
• Data ingestion and -consumption capacity-, and performance planning and optimization in support of Analytical- and Machine learning initiatives
• Plan and execute data integration strategies and approaches for batch and near real-time data Acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple source systems into the data lake
• Design, develop, document, and test ADF data pipelines that ingest and store data from structured and unstructured sources within the Azure data platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 7 years of overall experience with 5+ years of experience working in a Data Engineering role or building and maintaining data solutions
• 1+ years of relevant experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud implementations (Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification preferred)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working in Azure, including Data Factory, SQL query development, Synapse, and Data Lake Storage
• The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who can assess complex data problems, take ownership and drive for results, combines strong analytical skills with a focus on detail, thoroughness, and quality, and is a team player who can work independently but with a passion for sharing knowledge with others.
• Ideally:
• Some experience using Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery – and/or –
• Some experience using PowerBI or similar Data Visualization tools – and/or –
• Some experience with Data preparation or data profiling tools – and/or –
• Knowledge of data lineage and data governance
