School Counselor Consultant
New York, New York (Remote)

Position: Subcontractor – Counseling Services Provider (NYC DOE-Approved)
Location: New York City, NY
Type: Contract/Per Diem
 
We are seeking experienced and licensed counseling service providers to subcontract with us to deliver high-quality, student-focused mental health and counseling services within New York City public schools. This subcontracting opportunity supports schools under the guidelines set by the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE).
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to K-12 students in accordance with NYC DOE protocols and best practices.
  • Deliver crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and social-emotional support as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other stakeholders to address students' behavioral and mental health needs.
  • Maintain documentation of student progress and services provided in accordance with NYC DOE standards.
  • Participate in IEP and student support meetings as necessary to align interventions with educational goals.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid New York State license as a School Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or School Psychologist.
  • Familiarity with NYC DOE guidelines, including compliance with Related Services Authorization (RSA) processes and other DOE-approved mental health initiatives.
  • Experience in delivering counseling services to students in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and DOE administrators.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities is a plus.
