About the Opportunity
Ellucian is seeking an experienced Senior Banner Financial Aid Consultant to join the North American Professional Services team to lead implementations of our integrated administrative solutions for colleges and universities. The Senior Banner Financial Aid Consultant will support all aspects related to the implementation, assessment, configuration, conversion, training, testing and deployment of our Banner Financial Aid Solution. The position will capitalize on your extensive understanding of the Banner Financial Aid Information System, specifically focused on these areas: Application Processing, Requirements Tracking, Budgeting, Funds Management, Packaging, Disbursement, Federal Program Management, Self Service and Satisfactory Academic Progress. Understanding the connections to the Student and Accounts Receivable Modules will be of added value.
Higher education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success. In this mission critical role, you will partner with our customers to help enable their transformation to cloud/SAAS solutions and ensure successful adoption of these solutions.

- Proactively prepare for and deliver high quality services with a willingness to learn and adapt to new strategies that evolve as technology and implementation methodology mature.
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to bridge the gap between the functional and technical aspects of Ellucian solutions and client’s business objectives.
- Lead customers to embrace performance improvement, transformation and modernization and remediate issues that impede enabling customer greatness, executing all activities with precision and professionalism to ensure successful SaaS implementations.
- Ability to analyze, identify, clarify, and organize system requirements for financial aid rule writing in the form of use cases and specification parameters to be provided to development peers.
- Collaborates with various Professional Services teammates on process improvement, use and maintenance of services artifacts and the maturation and promotion of recommended practices.
- Success will be measured by customer satisfaction, achievement of project goals, and utilization targets.
What you will bring
- 5+ years Banner Financial Aid experience including implementation and deployment work on the modules noted above.
- Willingness to grow knowledge across other Ellucian solutions.
- Ability to communicate and present to work team stakeholders as well as project leaders both internally and externally.
- Enabling delivery readiness, problem solving and root cause analysis through creativity, critical thinking and a strong work ethic.
- Strong prioritization skills, able to manage activities based on business impact and time constraints.
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Support and demonstration of Ellucian values.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally to deliver services when required.
- Experience with consortium or system-wide models, California, Texas, Florida or New York state higher education regulations would be a bonus.
