About the Opportunity
The Senior Benefits Analyst is a critical member of the Benefits team, responsible for the analysis, administration, and ongoing management of U.S. and international benefits programs. This role ensures compliance, optimizes program performance, and supports the company's strategic goals for employee well-being and global competitiveness.
Where you will make an impact
- U.S. and International Benefits:
- Manage day-to-day administration of U.S. and international benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, supplemental programs, voluntary plans and wellness initiatives.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and cost analyses to ensure programs remain competitive, equitable, and cost-effective.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure seamless employee experience and accurate processing of benefits-related transactions.
- Monitor regulatory compliance (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA) and state-level requirements, ensuring all filings and reporting obligations are met.
- Audit data files, payroll files, and demographic information to ensure accuracy in reporting, payment processing, and employee eligibility.
- Partner with payroll and HRIS teams to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Support the design, implementation, and administration of benefits programs, aligning with local market practices and regulations.
- Analyze and interpret global trends and regional nuances to ensure competitive positioning.
- Work closely with regional HR teams and external vendors to manage benefits enrollment, renewals, and escalated issues.
- Coordinate benefits harmonization projects following mergers, acquisitions, or global policy changes.
- Recommend updates to policies and processes as necessary.
- Financial Administration:
- Manage purchase orders and invoice payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Reconcile benefit-related invoices and address discrepancies in collaboration with finance and vendors.
- Data Integrity and Reporting:
- Monitor, audit, and validate file feeds and data integrations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with program requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely payment processing for benefit contributions and vendor invoices.
Develop and maintain metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefit programs and identify opportunities for improvement. - Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, highlighting cost trends, employee utilization, and program impact.
- Partner with finance and HR leadership to forecast benefits budgets and identify cost-containment strategies.
- Employee Engagement and Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing complex benefit inquiries and resolving escalations.
- Create and deliver educational materials, webinars, and training sessions to promote employee understanding of benefit programs.
- Partner with internal communications teams to design campaigns that drive engagement with benefits and wellness initiatives.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, with exposure to both U.S. and international programs.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits laws and global compliance considerations, including state-level regulations and reporting.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones.
- Experience with payroll processes and accounts payable systems.
- Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions and benefits integration.
- Knowledge of wellness program design and implementation.
- Understanding of benefits in key international markets (e.g., EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
