Job Summary

Would you like to join a team making a positive impact at MathWorks?  IT Hosting is modernizing our infrastructure and the way we operate it.  You will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting cloud infrastructure.  You will contribute greatly to the team, leveraging your automation skills to accelerate our work and simplify operations.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting cloud solutions across private and public infrastructure
  • Automating our infrastructure to make it more reliable and simpler to operate
  • Being an active participant in setting direction and strategy for the team and its services
  • Teaching your technical peers and learning from their experiences
  • Staying curious, always seeking to learn new technologies
  • Rotating on-call support of production infrastructure and applications

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

Some combination of the following:

  • Experience with public cloud platforms - Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and /or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
  • Experience working with container and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS)
  • Experience working with Source Control Management Systems (GitLab, GitHub)
  • Experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS / Rocky)
  • Solid knowledge of domain and industry tools (CNCF, DevOps, CI/CD, Secrets Management, Container Registries)
