Articulate is looking for a Senior Developer Experience Engineer II to join our growing DevEx team! 

The Senior DevEx Engineer II will be a key member of the Developer Experience pod building and maintaining internal tools that enable our product engineers to be efficient and self-reliant.  

What You'll Do:
  • Define and drive industry standards and best practices that your team and adjacent teams should follow when building systems and tools.
  • Collaboratively develop and drive the evolution of our platform tooling systems through automated maintenance.
  • Lead and facilitate technical discussions about our platform systems 
  • Guide and mentor less-experienced team members (mid and junior-level).
  • Deliver well-tested and well-documented software and infrastructure 
  • Take a proactive approach to problem-solving (driving for measurable results, leading by example, etc).
  • Collaborate and lead the planning of project milestones and help the team to break down large initiatives into iterative work items and drive ownership of task generation and ticket management.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the entire organization.
  • Participate in our on-call rotation and contribute to incident reviews
  • Develop and perform the necessary testing required to maintain our quality standards.
  • Deliver the technical project work against the expected milestones on time and within the expected scope
  • Be an example of working with a sense of urgency to find solutions to problems quickly with an iterative approach.
  • Ability to nimbly learn whereby they view mistakes as opportunities to learn, enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, and seek new approaches to solve problems.
  • Collaborate through facilitating an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders, balance own interests with others’ and promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals

What You Should Have:
  • 7+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent role
  • Demonstrated mastery with Go, Javascript or similar languages (Go is preferred)
  • Demonstrated mastery with container technologies such as Docker
  • Demonstrated mastery with configuring and managing cloud environments in AWS
  • Expert-level experience with maintaining and building CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting
  • Demonstrated experience using Terraform or similar IaC technologies 
  • Ability to lead the creation and completion of work items with little to no guidance
  • Excellent ability to scope, estimate, and create work items from high-level initiatives and drive them to completion while helping the team to execute on their tasks
  • A growth mindset and a deep passion for continuous learning
  • Collaborate and lead the development of delightful experiences with a customer-first mindset where our customers are both our internal product engineers and the end users
  • Expertly shares knowledge across teams to create a self-serving platform experience
  • Expert-level experience writing, executing, and automating test cases for new feature development and ongoing maintenance activities
  • Direct experience helping to create and use KPIs to drive observability, monitoring, and alerting to serve ourselves and our customers better
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience being a mentor to those wanting to level-up their knowledge-base
  • Demonstrates a focus on iterative development practices and incrementally delivering value over time.  

The pay range for this position is $150,200 to $225,200 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
