Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial statements, proven expertise in forecasting, and a strong work ethic. This individual will have the opportunity to influence the C-suite by providing deep financial/operational insights that support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

Forecasting and Budgeting: Responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of financial forecasts and budgets, identifying and incorporating key business drivers and assumptions.
Variance Analysis: Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, investment opportunities, and strategic planning.
Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business needs, and provide financial support.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, to identify trends, assess financial performance, and provide actionable insights to management.
Proactively Identify Growth Levers: Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for revenue or ebitda growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred, but not required
5+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role is required.
Strong Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling is essential.
Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions, is required.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL or Python, experience with dashboarding tools. We use Tableau but index more heavily on Excel.
Experience with Financial Systems: Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software and ERP systems is preferred. We use Quickbooks and Ramp currently.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and solve problems is crucial.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
