Senior Learn & Grow Specialist Full Description

The Gig:
Virgin Voyages is looking for a Senior Learn & Grow Specialist to lead the instructional development of training content and facilitate training. This role works consultatively and strategically with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business to conduct learning needs analysis and offer instructional strategy in instructor-led, virtual, and other digital modalities. This gig is responsible for the development and implementation of content as well as the facilitation of learning solutions that achieve business objectives. 

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:
  • Execute L&D strategies in collaboration with Learn & Grow leaders, Experience, and stakeholders
  • Lead the content execution and delivery of all of our Virgin Voyages brand learning content and on-boarding to ensure our culture and creeds live within the business 
  • Collaborate with our Sr. Managers in Learn & Grow to ensure effective facilitation and growth of our Leadership program and performance management tools
  • Continuously looks for new ways to identify new learning initiatives to support and elevate the knowledge of our crew and improve continuous learning across the business 
  • Collaborate and strategize on the learning needs for our crew in collaboration with our Quality Assurance Team 
  • Create/Facilitate the learning content in collaboration with other specialists of our VTS Operations - Travel Operations training and ensure we are identifying the most effective learning journeys for our crew 
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, learning journeys, and methods of delivery in digital-on-demand, virtual, and in-person training formats
  • In partnership with Learn & Grow leaders, Experience, and People, build and maintain onboarding, leadership, and career development programs
  • Build and implement measurement strategies to show learning impact and ROI to current future programs
  • Work consultatively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine and develop instructional strategies across a variety of delivery methods to achieve targeted outcomes for identified skill and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with the digital design team to translate course development documents into digital learning experiences, including eLearning, videos, and simulations
  • Facilitate and train instructor-led courses; both in-person and virtually 
  • Revise existing training materials and programs based on program effectiveness reports, surveys, changing procedures, and feedback
  • Collaborate with Learn & Grow leaders on the creation and continuous improvement of the team’s content creation processes and procedures to meet delivery of quality and meaningful solutions

Superpowers Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Instructional Design, Education or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in an instructional design or learning experience development capacity
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience facilitating training courses
  • Comprehensive experience with developing content across multiple delivery methods, including eLearning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and other digital methods
  • Comprehensive understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and curriculum development
  • Previous experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) a plus
