Job Summary
The senior multimedia designer works in coordination with other members of the Administrative Operations Communications Department to deliver timely, quality communications support for Administrative Operations. This position requires a seasoned professional contributor who will implement complex projects and processes with limited supervision. Primary responsibilities include the design, programming, production and maintenance of Administrative Operations websites, along with the development of multimedia projects such as infographics, flyers, brochures, reports and photography. Additional responsibilities include the ability to troubleshoot technical problems associated with webpages and web applications. Multimedia experience in video, motion graphics, print production and/or audio production would be beneficial.
To be successful, the candidate will need to have a broad understanding of digital communication practices and exhibit skills with respect to graphic design principles, web design, marketing and branding, problem solving, time management and adaptability.
This is a hybrid position that alternates between working remotely and reporting to the West Lafayette campus as needed by job requirements. The successful candidate must live within daily driving distance of the West Lafayette campus.

What We're Looking For:
Experience and Education Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design or related field
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in digital marketing, graphic design, communications or related field
Skills Needed:
- Knowledge of:
- SEO and Google Analytics
- web production processes and graphic standards
- Must be able to provide a portfolio that highlights a variety of website and creative projects
- Customer service orientation with a “can-do” attitude
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines on multiple projects
- Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Ability to design, develop and program web pages
- Experience:
- working across digital mediums
- following brand standards
- in fast-paced work environments
- with Cascade, WordPress and/or other content management systems
Preferred:
- Knowledge of:
- current web design and accessibility standards
- printing processes
- Ability to create strong draft website content
- Proficiency in front end technologies, such as CSS, HTML, etc.
- Additional multimedia experience in video, motion graphics and/or audio production
- Photography, videography and video editing software experience
