Senior Product Manager of Assessment Platform

Position Purpose
As Senior Product Manager in the Platform Product Management Department, you will help oversee the development of digital solutions for an assessment platform, from inception to launch, for the delivery of a variety of assessment types including but not limited to screener, diagnostic, formative, and more. You will collaborate with UX designers, engineers and other stakeholders to create innovative, customer-focused assessment solutions meant to enhance teacher instruction and enrich the student learning experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee the discovery, design, development, and implementation for new and existing digital assessment platform solutions
· Conceptualize user experience from a student, educator, and administrator’s perspective by working on wireframes, prototypes, and designs with UX/UI designers
· Utilize user research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder input to form a creative vision that provides solutions and clear customer benefit
· Act as the main contact for stakeholder management with assessments curriculum/content directors, managers, and supervisors
· Act as a mediator between the user and developers, communicating and translating user needs into new product features for the team to design and develop
· Identify problems, suggest solutions, and clearly communicate the details required to build the assessment platform as conceptualized, including writing high-level requirements
· Prioritize user stories for development and maintain a groomed backlog of work and bugs
· Track and document digital assessment platform through all stages of development
· Oversee user acceptance testing on all development work
· Train and communicate other departments including Tech Support, Professional Development, etc. on use of assessment solutions
· Troubleshoot problems identified by other departments and customers and communicate escalations
· Present work to senior management and key stakeholders and executives for review and feedback
· Maintain a roadmap of future requests
Job Requirements/Skills and Experience
· A minimum of 2-5 years of digital product management experience in the educational technology industry
· A minimum of 5 years managing K-12 digital assessment platform solutions
· An understanding of the needs of teachers, administrators, and Pre-K-8 students
· Knowledge of current ed tech trends and capabilities
· Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to independently drive projects to completion
· Working knowledge of user experience, user interaction, and responsive design across mobile platforms, devices, and products
· Bachelor's Degree
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and JIRA
