Position Vision/Objectives:  
This Senior Product Manager/Team Lead is strong senior product manager managing people in a player and coach role, focusing on the leading product strategy as well as cross-solution, big picture initiatives while overseeing their team.   
 
This Senior Product Manager/Team Lead will have a data product management background building data product, preferably in Tableau and a technical product management background with Platforms.  This position will primarily run our Comparative Analytics product roadmap and will influence our platform and data strategy. 
 
Product Management Responsibilities:
  • Under the leadership of the Director of Product, the Data and Analytics Pillar lead drives product vision, roadmap, and strategy that delights customers and creates buy-in for the product vision.   
  • As Product General Manager mindset, engages with Frontline’s customers, services, and sales teams to understand requirements, and to ensure successful product delivery. Additionally, engage with Finance to ensure strategy aligns with Frontline’s financial targets.
  • Champions the definition of creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps based on co-developed strategy and vision. 
  • Assumes business outcome and ownership of all direct and tangential product initiatives. 
  • Collaborates with Product Owners and software engineers to turn functional specifications into next-generation business services.  
  • Accountable for leading the product development team to execute on the right features in terms of requirements, definition, quality and metrics for their product. (both software development and data development) 
    • Define and Prioritize the Product Backlog
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate/write them into user stories, epics, and tasks.
    • Represent the customer's perspective within the team by understanding their pain points, goals, and feedback.
    • Work closely with development, design, marketing, and other teams to define the scope, ensure alignment, and resolve dependencies.
    • Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, estimate level of efforts, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth delivery.
    • Ensure timely and high-quality product releases, balancing the scope with technical feasibility and timelines.
    • Lead team through activities related to Annual Planning Process for owned product
 
Domain Knowledge and Expertise: 
  • Has prior experience successfully building and launching data and analytics products
  • Deeply understands analytical products from the both the analyst and executive persona 
    • Ability to direct both the data and software strategy of analytics products 
  • Knowledge of the K-12 industry with regards to Enrollment Projections, Financial, Salary, Enrollment, Student Performance, Taxes, and Live Birth data 
  • Ability to work around large and complicated data sets 
  • Software Platform experience with backend services, databases, IDMs/SSO, etc. 
  • Intermediate technical individual who understands of the software and data architecture for analytics products 
  • Understand high level database concepts, data systems, data warehouses (Snowflake), and best practices on how these systems work together with highly data focused applications.
  • Strong working experience with Excel, Tableau, and other data visualization tools 
 
Operational leadership:
  • Keeps team on track with deliverables and works to address any blockers – for example, supports change management of team adopting a new way of communicating the roadmap 
  • Ensures reporting data is kept up to date for leadership & Stakeholders (Solution leaders, Director, CPO, Product Team) to inform on plans, status, progress of planned roadmap initiatives against KPI’s with both external and internal stakeholders  
    • examples are roadmaps, release progress, launches, other as needed 
  • Ensures data is uploaded and visualized in a timely manner for Comparative Analytics 
 
Position Requirements: 
  • Proven expertise leading cross-functional teams that together launch on-time and on-budget.
  • You will be required to showcase excellent leadership, people management, project management, problem solving, and communication to both internal and external colleagues at scale. 
  • A proven performer with strong intracompany relationships and the ability to directly and indirectly lead teams and projects.  
  • Strong understanding of Agile Methodology 
  • Demonstration of ability to effectively perform the Product role, is data driven, process orientation, open to feedback and development “is coach-able” 
  • Coordinate data/development projects and prioritize the ongoing work of those teams.
  • Evaluate and prioritize customer requirements, leveraging industry best practices and new innovations. Prioritize and manage the backlog for effective release and planning.
  • 5+ years in Product Management designing and delivering world-class software products or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor degree in a Business, Computer Science, engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
