As Senior Quality Engineer, you will work closely with your Manager, Developers, Development leads, Business Analysts and other project team members in defining, creating, executing and maintaining various aspects of web app and mobile testing.

This is a hybrid role in our Newton, MA office.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Establish purpose and deliverables for all test efforts
  • Create and execute detailed test cases based on functional specifications
  • Develop test plans and test strategy documents based on business requirements
  • Review test plans with project team and garner feedback
  • Modify and maintain existing test cases as needed based on updated functionality
  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, system, regression and user acceptance testing
  • Report, review and retest defects and ensure that all important defects have been resolved at the appropriate level prior to product release
  • Participate in defect triage discussions
  • Work as a lead on smaller projects, guiding junior team members
  • Automate test cases using industry standard tools as required by the project

Minimum Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of testing web-based and/or mobile applications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with industry standard defect management tools

Preferred skills:
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Experience working with offshore and geographically spread-out development and testing teams
  • Completed or working towards industry standard testing certification
  • Experience and exposure to SOX compliance and audits
