About the Opportunity

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days/week in the office (Reston, VA or Malvern, PA)

Ellucian is a leading education technology company serving over 2,900 higher education institutions worldwide. Our Solution marketing (aka product marketing) team focuses on bringing new products/solutions to market, defining messaging and positioning, and helping contribute to subject matter expertise and themes for our campaign/field marketing programs. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Solutions Marketing Manager with technical, AI, and platform knowledge to join our growing marketing team. Where you will make an impact
  • Lead go-to-market strategies that maximize Ellucian’s routes to market and the impact to our customers
  • Lead the creation and execution of outcomes-first solution messaging and positioning to be used across a variety of marketing, sales, and web channels
  • Cultivate customer references for our solutions and turn them into powerful marketing programs and content
  • Work hand-in-hand with our product management teams to manage product community posts, engage with customers, and drive adoption of our solutions
  • Execute marketing plans designed to raise awareness, establish our reputation as a thought leader globally, engage and retain our current base of customers, and drive attainment of
    global corporate objectives
  • Lead development of solution-related assets needed to support the product and portfolio strategy such as case studies, brochures, infographics, videos, product demos, sales
    presentations, white papers, and solution/data sheets
  • Identify external channels for proliferation of solution messaging including channel partners, websites, industry events, and social channels
  • Define the content marketing and campaign strategies and working with other marketing
    departments to ensure they are executed and communicated throughout the organization
  • Partner closely with the sales, strategic partners and channel partner teams to develop compelling sales enablement tools specifically for the region the solution is being marketed in and support the sales strategy

What you will bring
  • 6-8+ years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in a product marketing role for a technical product
  • Deep technical expertise and understanding; ideally from working in B2B SaaS/AI environments in areas like integration, process automation, or app development 
  • High comfort level presenting in front of customers and building relationships
  • Experience managing product launches and GTM strategy
  • Experience working closely in partnership with customer-facing teams (customer success, sales, services)
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity including a strong desire to develop expertise in Ellucian solution capabilities
  • Strong communication, writing, presentation design/delivery, and public speaking skills
  • Manage projects and work against established deadlines
  • Must be able to work with minimal daily management, be business savvy, and execute tactics quickly and efficiently
  • Experience using data strategically
