Guild is hiring for a Senior Spend Management Associate. The Senior Spend Management Associate at Guild is instrumental in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's Accounts Payable (AP) and Travel and Expense (T&E) processes. Working in close collaboration with the Senior Procurement Operations Associate, this role plays a key part in executing the procure-to-pay process, including vendor management, invoice processing, and ensuring timely and accurate payment disbursements. Their keen attention to detail and expertise help foster a robust and well-functioning control environment, all while upholding compliance with AP and T&E policies.
Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Oversee the receipt, validation, and matching of invoices against POs and receipts, facilitating timely and accurate payment processing.
- Payment Management: Ensure payments are executed promptly and accurately, liaising with finance teams to address any discrepancies and optimize cash flow management.
- Purchase Order Management: Coordinate with stakeholders, including the Senior Procurement Operations Associate, to accurately set up purchase orders (POs) in the procurement system, verifying details such as pricing, quantities, and vendor information to support a more efficient invoicing approval process.
- Control Implementation: Identify and implement robust controls within the P2P process to mitigate risks, prevent fraud, and safeguard financial assets.
- Vendor Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to invoicing, payments, and contractual terms
- Travel & Expense (T&E) Management: Manage the T&E process for the organization, utilizing the T&E system to facilitate expense reporting, approval workflows, and reimbursement.
- Spend Management: Assist the Financial Planning and Analysis teams with spend data that will help support budget and planning processes.
Education
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field
Experience
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing P2P systems such as ZIP and Navan, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights to drive process improvements and cost savings.
- Problem-Solving: Resourceful in resolving issues and mitigating risks within the P2P process, employing critical thinking and creative problem-solving techniques.
- Collaboration: A team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues at all levels, fostering a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing within the organization.
We are committed to equal pay for equal work and believe in compensation transparency. All salary ranges are standardized nationwide and will not vary by region. This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000, and stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
