WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our SEO Manager, you will drive web traffic and support omni-channel sales by generating organic traffic and search engine rankings for NASM.org. You will oversee an SEO Specialist and contract resources, and work closely with a Content Strategist, and our Martech Dev, eCommerce and Paid Media teams.

This role requires a strategic and analytic thinker skilled at crafting and executing against SEO strategies that fuel our discoverability, engagement, and conversion across multiple platforms. You will develop strategies that help us stand out in the crowded fitness and wellness landscape.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK
This position will work remote in the United States.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve our organic search rankings and drive web traffic and conversion.
  • Assertively monitor and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic and other SEO metrics to track progress and provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analyses to identify relevant search terms and phrases to target to increase visibility and help ensure we outrank competitors across the categories in which we compete.
  • Optimize web content, including meta tags, headings, URLs and on-page elements to improve search engine rankings. Feed insights on gaps to address optimization opportunities to content team.
  • Analyze website performance using tools like SEMrush and Google to identify areas for improvement and measure success.
  • Partner with content, creative, ecom and front-end dev teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all web properties.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, algorithm updates and overall SEO best practice to ensure the work we do is as effective as possible.
  • Manage one direct report and contract/nearshore resources.
  • Leverage AI and other online tools to drive efficiency, with discretion and as appropriate.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 8+ years of search engine optimization experience, preferably with high-traffic ecommerce brands
  • Demonstrated success improving search engine rankings and web traffic
  • Adept at using data to monitor results, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, , etc.
  • Deep knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices
  • Expert in on- and off-page optimization techniques
  • Exceptional analytic skills. Use data to drive continuous experimentation and optimization
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication, project management, and collaboration skills. Enjoy serving as a subject matter expert, helping ensure the broader team follows SEO best practices. Understand how to optimize social and PR
  • Familiar with basic HTML, and HTML hierarchy. Experience with Hubspot, as well as CMS platforms like Sitefinity and with CMS WYSIWYG editors
  • Experience overseeing contract/nearshore resources preferred
  • A self-starter who is motivated and able to work independently
