Overview: 

The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing PowerSchool’s social media strategy and managing PowerSchool social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.  This includes managing and optimizing the channel structures to advance the PowerSchool brand, writing, managing and posting content, managing an editorial calendar across all PowerSchool social media channels, engaging with followers, and engaging with social media influencers on behalf of PowerSchool. This role will be accountable for growing followers across PowerSchool social media channels and increasing engagement.  You will collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Communications and more broadly across PowerSchool to create content and support engagement. The Social Media Manager will work closely with PowerSchool’s digital team on coordinating their paid social media work into the PowerSchool social media strategy.  
 
You will take a lead role in managing the PowerSchool brand in social media and integrating the work into a cross channel and cross team approach that will move customers through the brand marketing funnel from awareness to advocacy. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, deliverables, and project goals.

  • Creation and day-to-day running of social media strategy and channels.
  • Day-to-day coordination to ensure social media strategy and tactics are incorporated into campaigns and corporate communications plans.
  • Close collaboration with Manager of Corporate Communications.
  • Analyze effectiveness of plans, delivering results to stakeholders and management.
  • Apply analytical and critical industry insights/competitive insights to drive tactical decision-making and optimization.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of PR and social media experience in increasingly complex roles is required.
  • More than 3 years of communications experience within a Fortune 500, hi-tech or education technology organization is preferred.
  • More than 3 years of PR and social media experience in education technology preferred.  
  • Experience or familiarity working within a Sprint project management system and use of project management software.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and eager to have an impact on a rapidly growing organization.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in different styles of organizations including flat and matrixed.
  • Positive and can-do attitude!
  • Other duties as assigned.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $60,700– $91,100. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
