SUMMARY:
 
We seek a skilled Software Engineer with a strong .NET and JavaScript development foundation to enhance our engineering team's capabilities on our Azure-based microservices platform. The candidate will contribute to designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions crucial for meeting business and user needs. The role requires a solid understanding of software engineering practices and an ability to apply Agile methodologies effectively throughout the software development lifecycle. 
 
 
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
 
  • Software Development:: Engage in front and backend development using .NET Core, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte), ensuring efficient, scalable, and robust software solutions.  
  • Agile Management : Actively participate in Agile practices, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives, taking a proactive role to ensure alignment with sprint goals and addressing impediments. 
  • Backlog Management: Refine user stories and contribute to the team’s backlog, handling more complex stories or significant components of the project. 
  • Code Optimization: Optimize the existing codebase to enhance performance and scalability, applying best coding practices and ensuring security compliance. 
  • Knowledge Development : Develop domain and technology knowledge, including services, methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for development processes. 
  • Peer Mentoring : Guide and support Associate Software Engineers, aiding their technical and professional growth. 
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation to support development and ensure smooth operations. 
 
YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE

  • 2+ years of .NET Core, C# 
  • 1+ years of a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Svelte, etc.) 
  • 1+ years of SQL Server 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals Certification (if certification is not current, must be obtained within the first  30 days of employment)
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapts to new technologies and changing project requirements.
  • Collaboration: Effectively collaborates within teams and with other departments.
  • Problem-solving – Identifies and addresses coding issues, maintaining high code quality standards.

  • Azure Development: Proficient in building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers. 
  • Cloud Technology and Services – Familiar with the fundamentals of cloud services, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models; Knowledge of specific Azure services relevant to projects, such as Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, and Azure SQL. 
  • Programming Languages – Can cleanly code in Azure-supported languages like C#, JavaScript, Python, and PowerShell for automation tasks; skilled in frameworks like .NET or Angular for developing robust and scalable applications. 
  • DevOps Practices – Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to automate application build, testing, and deployment. 
  • Security Awareness – Knowledge of security best practices in the cloud, including using Azure Security Center and understanding of identity management with Azure Active Directory. 
  • Database Management and Design: Proficient in SQL for query writing and database management. Familiar with Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL solutions and SQL Server or Oracle for relational database services. 
 
IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:
 
Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
