The Sr Learning Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an exceptional and seamless learning experience for new associates. In addition to supporting the execution of orientation week, this position takes ownership of multiple learning programs, driving operational excellence, and collaborating cross-functionally to continuously enhance learning processes. This role serves as a primary liaison between stakeholders and new hires, ensures alignment across departments, and contributes to the strategic development of learning initiatives that reflect the company’s values and business goals.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Lead the planning and execution of orientation weeks and other learning-related programs for new hires across various departments.
- Manage the organization, logistics, execution, and delivery of multiple cross-functional learning classes while fostering engagement and retention from associates.
- Oversee learning program’s related communications as well the end-to-end learning experience, ensuring all logistics are coordinated effectively including travel, lodging, catering, room setup, and AV requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all incoming new hires and provide high-touch support from pre-arrival to post-orientation.
- Drive collaboration with HR, IT, facilities, operations, and department leaders to ensure all learning elements are aligned and new hires are equipped for success.
- Identify and implement process improvements to elevate the efficiency and scalability of the learning Center operations.
- Mentor learning coordinators, providing guidance on best practices and day-to-day execution.
- Manage and report attendance, engagement, and learning success metrics to leadership and make recommendations based on trends and feedback.
- Proactively lead stakeholder communications by delivering pertinent updates on learning progress, risks, and schedule adjustments, ensuring alignment across departments and a seamless new hire experience.
- Champion an associate-centric approach by continuously enhancing the new hire experience through feedback loops and innovation.
- Proactively re-stock supplies and inventory of the learning center, gift shop, and breakroom.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and quality standards throughout all learning activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in learning coordination, event planning, or a related field, with experience managing large-scale or multi-location learning programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects or programs independently.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of environments, people and needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on service excellence.
- Experience with travel coordination and vendor management preferred.
- Knowledge of learning and new hire assimilation best practices.
- Maintain excellent attendance record and punctuality.
- Team play, accept constructive feedback, self-motivated, goal oriented and accountable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with learning platforms or event management tools is a plus.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
