McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational solutions, is looking for a Supervisor, Instructional Designer, 6-12 ELA. As Supervisor, Instructional Designer, 6-12 ELA, you will lead and mentor a team of Instructional Designers and Associate Instructional Designers, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams including content, product management, UX, and creative media. You will oversee the development of innovative digital tools, curriculum, and learning solutions in various formats, ensuring alignment with product requirements and delivering impactful resources used by millions of educators and students.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 07/31/2026.

  • Supervise a dynamic team of Instructional Designers, guiding their efforts to create impactful educational content.
  • Oversee an extensive group of external vendors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop digital programs from inception to execution, leveraging expertise across disciplines.
  • Make informed decisions to optimize resource allocation and manage operational initiatives for tactical delivery.
  • Utilize external perspectives to enhance products and services, articulating customer needs to drive meaningful solutions.
 
What you need to be considered:   
  • 5+ years experience working in digital content development that includes teaching and learning materials.
  • Prior people management experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field required.  
  • Experience with Agile methodology and practices, including collaboration in iterative workflows.
  • Experience managing multiple projects within tight deliverables and budgets. 
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate.
  • Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems. 
  • Ability to visualize and create animated and interactive content. 
  • A successful candidate may have previous 6-12 teaching experience.

The pay range for this position is between $55,000 - $80,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
