Technical Services Consultant II

Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, the Technical Services Consultant II is responsible for:  

Critical Performance Objectives: 

  • Champion the reporting strategy for ERP Clients 
  • Engage with clients and other stakeholders for requirement gathering and analysis for reporting solutions 
  • Implement reporting solutions using Jaspersoft tools including Domains, Ad Hoc Views, Reports and Dashboards 
  • Provide End-User Training and Documentation for reporting solutions 
  • Gather business requirements and translate those into reporting requirements.  
  • Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders for reporting specifications and requirement gathering process. 
  • Assist with User Management and Repository Administration in JasperReports Server 
  • Working knowledge of Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for file exchange and data validation 
  • Understand data needed for importing, exporting and integrations 
  • Understand & adopt Frontline Education Service Delivery processes including use of PSA & Project Management Tools 
  • Understand Frontline's core values, pillars and corporate/department goals 
  • Understand and learn to use importing & exporting tools (as applicable) 
  • Be able to successfully map the requirements needs & data to appropriate integrations 
  • Technically manage & architect an end-to-end implementation including data gathering, data mapping, integrations 
  • Understand state specific needs/requirements, as appropriate  
  • Gain K12 industry experience as it pertains to Frontline Education & our software solutions 

Key Competencies:  

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 
  • Process and communicate with customer throughout Technical Services projects for Historical solution related artifacts/data collection, validating and importing. 
  • Confidently lead Integration Discussions including internal integration, state reporting & 3rd party integrations  
  • Work with Implementation Consultants to set-up dashboard & reporting  
  • Understand and manage all data mapping and data rules  
  • Data loading and data queries (Reporting) 
  • Creation of automation scripts to reduce implementation time 
  • Lead, own and manage technical aspects of client implementations and lead requirements gathering, business analysis, system configuration, testing, and training  
  • Extract, analyze and assess client business needs and workflows; make consultative recommendations.  
  • Set up and configure client’s workflows (business processes), security roles and rights, etc. per requirements and system administration 
  • Recommend best practices to clients based on product capabilities and business process workflows 
  • Provide technical expertise and training to colleagues and clients.  
  • Provide feedback on existing product based on efficiency gains and customer needs 
  • Ability to take on large, strategic accounts 
  • Handle escalations and tough, complex client problems 
  • Ability to be cross trained on a variety of Frontline Education solutions 
  • Working directly with customers to document and validate technical requirements, which are then mapped to the application’s functionality 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 7+ years of prior experience working in a SaaS based company 
  • 2-4 years hands-on experience in a recognized reporting tool set preferably Jaspersoft (iReports/Studio, Domains, Ad-Hoc Views and Dashboards) 
  • 2-4 years’ experience with SQL, Postgres and/or DB4 
  • 2-4 years' experience in a customer-facing role, preferably as a technical support analyst or consultant 
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill 
  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills 
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with good interpersonal skills
