About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Training Specialist here at Trimble.  As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality training for our customers, it is crucial to maintain a strong team of knowledgeable and experienced trainers. The Technical Training Specialist provides in-depth training on Tekla’s detailing and fabrication software to our customers. In this role, you will develop learning plans and train new and existing Tekla users to effectively and efficiently utilize the software. 

Trimble aims to leverage the Technical Trainer’s extensive knowledge and experience in the construction industry to deliver comprehensive training programs for Tekla users, enhancing their proficiency in BIM modeling and detailing to improve productivity, accuracy, and collaboration within their projects.

What You Will Do

  • Self-manage time to ensure customer training goals are met on time and to the highest standard.

Training Instruction 
  • Provide basic through expert training for Tekla products and Trimble Connect through:
    • Self-paced eLearning support on Trimble Learn (Docebo)
    • Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)
    • In-person Instructor Led Training (ILT) (Kennesaw GA classroom or Customer facility)
    • Webinars
  • Address primary issues of Technical training for Tekla Structures and its interoperability specifically with Tekla PowerFab and Trimble Connect.
  • Utilize various virtual facilitation applications/services such as Cloudshare, Google Workspace Suite (Chat & Meet), TeamViewer, Zoom, et cetera.
  • Coordinate travel, transportation, and hotel accommodations when travel is required for training. (Travel for this role is expected to be less than once a quarter, but requirements will be no more than 2 weeks per month.)

Training Support & Development
  • Actively resolve training issues from the main training support queue during weeks when training is not being performed.
  • Use various methods to provide training, support training, and create customized training plans, including:
    • Direct communication with the customer to understand their goals for training.
    • Reviewing and history through advanced searches within CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce)
    • Existing training plans
    • Tekla User Assistance
    • Co-workers
    • Internal Resource Teams
  • Create, review, and update training plans for Instructor-Led Trainings (Virtual or In-person) and eLearning courses utilizing:
    • Articulate 360
    • Accredible
    • Cloudshare
    • Docebo
    • TechSmith Camtasia & Snagit

What Skills & Experience You Should Have
  • 3+ years of experience using Trimble’s Tekla Structures to create fabrication BIM models and documents.
  • Excellent written, verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication skills which transcend language and cultural barriers
  • Presentation experience to medium and small groups, both remote and in-person
  • Ability to educate a variety of roles and parties involved in the project (IT, Operations, Users)
  • Self-Motivated, innovative, and influential
  • Ability to make effective, timely decisions
