Description

Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an opening for a Training and Development Specialist - Property & Casualty.

The Commercial Lines Training and Development Specialist is responsible for training new employees and the continuous education of existing employees on Higginbotham’s workflows and procedures using Applied Epic and CSR24 management systems.

Essential Tasks:
  • Train new employees on workflows, procedures, and management systems – Applied Epic and CSR24
  • Provide additional training for existing employees on workflows and procedures
  • Lead workshops on various topics, such as – new workflows, programs, and refresher courses
  • Learn new software programs, workflows, and develop training material
  • Collaborate with Training Team, New/Existing Employees, Team Leaders, and various departments
  • Maintain training records, materials, and checklists
  • Assist in answering Help Desk activities
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties related to insurance and systems training as requested

Location: 
  • In Office, Hybrid or fully Remote available
  • Occasional Travel to newly acquired offices for training and Go Live support (approximately 2 weeks out of every quarter - annually)

Experience and Education:
  • Minimum 3 years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance experience required
  • Both Commercial Lines and Personal Lines insurance experience preferred
  • Previous training experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively present material and information on-site and virtually

Licensing and Credentials: 
  • Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License required
  • Professional Designations preferred – CISR, CIC

Systems:
  • Experience using Applied EPIC Agency Management system in a previous insurance-based role required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
