We are looking for a dynamic Learning and Development Manager to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to organize unit duties, responsibilities, and resource allocation to complete key tasks and projects assigned by the Vice President of Enterprise-Wide Training and Staff Development and the Training Director.

You will provide essential leadership in the development and implementation of the Training Department Strategic Plan. This is a chance to manage and supervise a talented team, which includes Instructional Design and Development Coordinators, Training Systems Program Coordinators, Multimedia Design and Development Coordinators, and Training Program and Development Coordinators. On a typical day, you might:
  • Implement and manage the execution of training programs developed in collaboration with the Training Development Director, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise the instructional design and training delivery teams, ensuring that training materials, courses, and e-learning modules are effectively developed and executed according to the training plans set by leadership
  • Operationalize training logistics, including scheduling, room setup, webinar coordination, and ensuring instructors have the necessary materials and resources for effective training sessions.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate content updates, enrollment tracking, reporting, and technical support for users.
  • Ensures training programs incorporate accessibility and inclusivity best practices, following guidelines established by leadership.
  • Develop and manage data collection processes to track training effectiveness, learner engagement, and performance outcomes.
  • Analyze training completion rates, assessment results, and learner feedback to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Use data visualization and reporting tools to create dashboards that provide insights into training impact and ROI.
  • Support training evaluations by compiling and presenting data-driven recommendations to leadership for program enhancements.
  • Monitor key training performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage training development projects, ensuring timely completion, alignment with objectives, and resource efficiency.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones for training initiatives, tracking progress and addressing any obstacles
  • Facilitate collaboration between instructional designers, SMEs, trainers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and workflow efficiencies to optimize the training development process.
  • Ensure project documentation, version control, and quality assurance processes are followed throughout training development.
  • Manage a team of training specialists and instructional designers, conducting performance evaluations, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to established training timelines and goals.
  • Facilitate professional development for training staff, ensuring team members stay current on instructional design trends, e-learning methodologies, and project management best practices.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, external training facilitators, and department leaders to ensure training objectives align with organizational needs.

Required Education/Experience: 
High School diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience in training program execution, instructional design, e-learning development, learning management system (LMS) administration, project management experience, analyzing training performance metrics, compliance tracking, content development, instructional design, curriculum or curricula development, instructional development, education, or special education, learning principles, change management, learning strategies, organizational development, succession planning, digital learning, performance coaching, talent development.

Associate’s degree and three (3) years of experience in training program execution, instructional design, e-learning development, learning management system (LMS) administration, project management experience, analyzing training performance metrics, compliance tracking, content development, instructional design, curriculum or curricula development, instructional development, education, or special education, learning principles, change management, learning strategies, organizational development, succession planning, digital learning, performance coaching, talent development.

 OR
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in training program execution, instructional design, e-learning development, learning management system (LMS) administration, project management experience, analyzing training performance metrics, compliance tracking, content development, instructional design, curriculum or curricula development, instructional development, education, or special education, learning principles, change management, learning strategies, organizational development, succession planning, digital learning, performance coaching, talent development.
OR
Equivalent combination of higher education/experience.         
 
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Training, Psychology, Learning and Development preferred.

Preferred Experience: 
  • Technology platforms (LMS, SCORM, xAPI, etc.).
  • Data visualization and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • e-learning tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar authoring software.
  • Virtual training platforms (Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Problem-solving and risk management skills.
  • Communication, stakeholder collaboration, and change management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Supervision of two (2) or more employees preferred.

Required License/Certification:
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred License/Certification:
Clinical licensure in NC as LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or LPA OR certification as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CPTD, CPTM preferred.

Remote within Trillium’s Catchment area.
