TRAINING SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY
The Training Specialist is responsible for developing and identifying training in collaboration with the Director. The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering and facilitating an effective training program to employees and provider contractors throughout the organization. The Training Specialist will assess training needs, identifying skill gaps, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively and contribute to company goals; this includes facilitating training sessions, monitoring progress, and maintaining updated training materials aligned with healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. HRSA, Health Plans, Cal-OSHA).
TRAINING SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop CCHC Training Program
- Partner with Compliance, RM and HR to identify required trainings
- Establish required trainings for each role within CCHC
- Partner with Recruiting and HR to provide training input for New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- Coordinate, schedule and facilitate trainings for NEO
- Conduct training and/or providing technical assistance while staff navigate a self-¬administered webinar, or training in Relias
- Create the annual Training Calendar (in conjunction with Compliance, HR and RM)
- Manage and oversee the Training Calendar
- Manage CCHC’s learning management system (Relias), which includes maintenance, tracking, and reporting
- Partner with the Emergency Management Committee (EMC) to add assessment content and tracking in Relias
- Organizes training sessions and keep records of training sessions and attendance records
- Develop training content as needed (guides, videos, presentations) to train staff with guidance from Director
- Collect feedback from staff in an effort to continuously improving training materials and methods of training
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify training requirements and skill gaps within the workforce
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
- Partner with department managers to ensure staff members complete Relias and self-study trainings timely
- Performs other tasks assigned
Requirements
TRAINING SPECIALIST EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Degree in communications, healthcare administration, education, or related field preferred
TRAINING SPECIALIST PAY RATE: $30.00 - $34.00

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires prolonged sitting at a computer, some bending, lifting, stooping and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, photocopy machine, telephone, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight.
