About This Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Technology to lead our corporate technology strategy and operations. In this role, you will oversee internal technology functions – including Corporate IT, Salesforce Development and Back-office development teams – to ensure our systems and processes scale effectively with the business. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will drive the alignment of technology initiatives with our business objectives, champion an AI-first mindset for innovation, and foster data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is critical for maintaining our competitive edge in a fast-moving, technology-first environment and for building a high-performing, globally distributed team that can deliver exceptional results.

Location: Toronto (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Technology Leadership: Direct the strategic design, acquisition, and implementation of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and applications. Define the technology roadmap in collaboration with the CIO and other executives to support business growth and scalability.
- Oversee Corporate IT: Ensure robust, secure, and efficient operation of all corporate IT systems (networks, hardware, software, and cloud services). Implement best practices in IT operations, cybersecurity, and data privacy to protect company assets and data.
- Lead Development Teams: Manage the Salesforce development team and back-office full-stack dev teams, guiding them in building and integrating tools that improve internal workflows, customer relationship management and internal AI opportunities. Promote Agile development methodologies and high-quality delivery of internal applications.
- Manage Salesforce Administrators and Business Analysts: Oversee Salesforce Admins and Business Analysts handling tickets that support the Deal Desk and RevOps teams. Ensure efficient system configurations, seamless requirement gathering, and timely issue resolution. Foster strong alignment between technology solutions and business needs to optimize sales operations and drive efficiency.
- People Management: Build and mentor a globally distributed technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence. Exercise strong people management skills, set clear performance goals (OKRs), and develop talent within the organization.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Instill a data-driven culture in the technology team. Use metrics, KPIs, and OKRs to track the performance of technology initiatives and their impact on business outcomes. Continuously analyze processes and systems to make informed decisions that drive efficiency and value.
- Innovation and AI-First Initiatives: Champion an AI-first mindset, evaluating and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions where they can drive business value. Stay abreast of emerging tech trends and proactively recommend new tools or approaches (e.g., automation, AI, cloud services) to keep the company on the cutting edge
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other senior leaders (e.g., in Product, Operations, Security, Marketing, Finance) to ensure technology strategies are aligned with company goals. Communicate technical plans and progress to the executive team and stakeholders, translating complex ideas into business terms.
- Budgeting and Vendor Management: Oversee the technology budget and resource allocation. Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of technology solutions.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce technology standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts for technology operations.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in information technology, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a fast-paced, technology-driven organization.
- SaaS Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in scaling technology teams and systems for mid-size to enterprise-level organizations. Understanding of the challenges and best practices in a high-growth, tech-first environment.
- Leadership & People Management: Exceptional leadership and people management skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Experience in leading globally distributed teams, with the ability to inspire and mentor staff across different locations and cultures.
- Strategic Vision & Execution: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans for technology that align with business objectives. Skilled in using OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) or similar frameworks to set goals and measure success. Data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern technology stacks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong background in Agile software development life cycle and methodologies. Experienced with enterprise systems (such as CRM, ERP) and integrations. Keen understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT best practices.
- AI-First Mindset: Exposure to or experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. Enthusiasm for leveraging AI to enhance products, services, or internal processes, and the foresight to integrate new AI-driven tools to maintain competitive advantage.
- Excellent Communication: Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work closely with C-level executives and cross-functional stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value. Able to effectively present plans, progress, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability & Innovation: Thrives in a fast-moving environment and embraces change. Creative problem-solver who can navigate ambiguity and drive technological innovation. Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic setting.
