About your skills
  • Design Craft & Visual Storytelling: You have a deep understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, and you know how to use those tools to create clear, engaging, and polished designs. You’re fluent in both digital and print media and know how to make content feel cohesive, strategic, and beautiful across any format.
  • Creative Concepting & Execution: You know how to take an idea and run with it—from early concept to final delivery. Whether it’s an ebook, a landing page, or a trade show booth, you think critically about how design can elevate the message and move people to action. You know how to work fast, iterate smartly, and push creative boundaries without losing sight of business goals.
  • Strategic Collaboration: You’re an excellent creative partner. You know how to navigate feedback, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and co-create solutions that meet both brand and business objectives. You’re thoughtful in how you communicate ideas and open to perspectives that help make the work better.

About this role
We’re looking for a passionate Visual Designer to elevate Udemy Business’ brand through world-class design. From ebooks and editorial pieces to event booths and swag, you’ll shape how the brand shows up across digital and physical touchpoints. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that supports the broader business by creating compelling, on-brand visuals that connect with a global audience.
 
What you’ll be doing
  • Create high-impact materials that position Udemy Business as a thought leader in the learning industry.
  • Design a wide range of assets including ebooks, reports, one-pagers, event materials, and direct mail pieces.
  • Support digital marketing efforts across web, email, social, and paid media.
  • Develop sales and GTM materials that resonate with top-tier companies.
  • Partner with copywriters, videographers, and other creatives to bring ideas to life.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to maintain global brand consistency.
  • Participate in critiques, share feedback, and help elevate the creative team’s output.
  • Present design work effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
     
What you’ll have
  • 6+ years of experience in a creative agency, design studio, or in-house creative team.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing both digital and print design, especially long-form editorial content.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.

Hiring Compensation Range
$89,000—$111,000 USD
